At Camp Curious you'll spend the weekend participating in talks, workshops and experiences that will happen at different indoor and outdoor venues across the camp. You get to choose what you want to participate in.
What will the sessions be, exactly? Well, that all depends on who shows up and what cool ideas they bring. Since this is a crowdsourced event, session topics will emerge from the group. But here’s the kind of sessions we could imagine hosting:
How to forage for mushrooms
Career ideas for slackers
Writing your memoir
Birdwatching for beginners
Psychedelics & self-reinvention
Post-burnout work lives
My favorite film (screening)
How to become an artist — now
Modern-day: an insider's take on ENM & poly
Getting started in genealogy
Painting & photography workshops
The creative life at 50+
Don’t worry — we’ll seed the board with a few sessions, just to get things rolling. The rest? That’s up to you. If you have an idea for a session, just fill out a session form.
We’ve roped in some good friends to prime the pump with sessions on their favorite topics. Here are some of the possible sessions they'll host!
How to make a landscape painting
Competitive puzzling, charcuterie boards & other gentle competitions
Occupational Hazards: I’ve had 51 jobs and I’m writing a book about it
Whoops! I donated sperm in college and now I have 30 kids (and those are just the ones I know about!)
Synthesizer jam session
How I left my city life for the North Shore
After Religion: the “why and how” of finding the common core at the center of every faith practice.
